What can I say.? Forget your two-wheel tourers, your Harleys, your Wings, your Beemers,. The three wheel Spyders are bigger (1300 cc engine size) and better than ever.
BRP Can Am really have taken things up a notch with changes to engine, transmission, handling and, with lighter weight and a new look on the F3 family series.
This is such a fantastic fine touring (F3T) machine that you can and will ride all day, as I have been.
First to Cessnock, then Forster, Blue Mountains and Wollongong, NSW.
The trip to Forster, NSW was a day/night four hours to visit my very sick brother and freeway touring was a breeze riding up there. As sunset came, the headlights were able to see far enough for any stray wildlife if required.
On my return journey, the scenic Lakes Way road was a test with four types of road conditions encountered, as well asand holiday vehicular traffic issues. The CanAm Spyder handled all this with ease, in safety and comfort.
Back on the home trail through the countryside this time and across the Berowra waters ferry, some tricky windy roads gave the Brembo brakes a good workout. Any rock ‘n’ roll ‘n’ sway effect of these three wheelers was very minimal, so your pillion will be safe and secure and comfy, whilst hanging on to the well designed grab rails. Rear footpegs are a good size and shape as well.
This fantastic 3 cylinder (F3) motor and transmission just keep smoothly plugging along smoothly, whether touring, commuting, shopping or keeping to the limits.
