For many years Redcliffe Branch of Ulysses Club has had a stall at the Einbunpin Festival which is an annual celebration held at Sandgate, Qld. Previously we had cooked a sausage sizzle every year, which is a lot of work, and with many other competing food stalls provided not a lot of profit.
So this year we decided to change our focus from cooking to talking to people. Several of our members had their bikes parked next to the stall, all spit polished and looking lovely.
For a gold coin donation (this went directly to Life Flight) you could sit on your choice of the bikes and have a photo taken. This was an amazing ice breaker, especially Sandra's beautiful trike.
Throughout the the day many photos were taken and many stories told. A good handful of people also gave us their email address so we could forward the next issue of our monthly newsletter directly to them.
The newsletter is also accessible via our Facebook page "Redcliffe Ulysses Branch Happenings".
In our eyes a highly successful and fun day.
